The big events of 2027
Saturn is in Aries for the whole year. It entered on February 14, 2026, turns retrograde on August 9 at 27°52′, turns direct on December 23 at 21°01′ and moves on to Taurus on April 13, 2028. Neptune also stays in Aries (retrograde from July 9 to December 15), so both planets work on the same sign for twelve months. In the tradition, Saturn is in its fall in Aries. That is a statement about how the planet works there.
Jupiter starts 2027 in Leo, retrograde, turns direct on April 12 at 10:13 p.m. EDT, and enters Virgo on July 26 at 12:45 a.m. EDT. It stays in Virgo until August 24, 2028. While it is in Leo it sits 120° from Saturn in Aries, and the two make an exact trine on April 3 (17°08′) and July 11 (27°10′). Astrologers treat a trine as a supportive angle.
There are five eclipses. An annular solar eclipse in Aquarius falls on February 6, a penumbral lunar eclipse in Virgo on February 20, a penumbral lunar eclipse in Capricorn on July 18, a total solar eclipse in Leo on August 2 at 9°55′, and a penumbral lunar eclipse in Aquarius on August 17. The August 2 eclipse is the one with a total phase, and which area of life it touches depends on your sign: it is the 5th house of romance and creativity for Aries, the 1st house for Leo and the 7th for Aquarius.
Mercury turns retrograde three times: February 9 to March 3, June 10 to July 4 and October 7 to 28. Mars is retrograde from January 10 to April 1, which lasts far longer than a Mercury retrograde. Venus has no retrograde in 2027. Uranus stays in Gemini all year and Pluto in Aquarius, with Pluto retrograde from May 8 to October 17.

Which house each big event falls in, sign by sign
A sun-sign horoscope counts houses from your sign: your sign is the 1st house, the next sign the 2nd, and so on. That is why one eclipse reads as "money" for one sign and "partners" for another. The table does that count for 2027.
| Your sign | Jupiter in Leo (to Jul 26) | Jupiter in Virgo (from Jul 26) | Saturn in Aries | Solar eclipse Feb 6, Aquarius | Solar eclipse Aug 2, Leo |

How these horoscopes are made
We calculate every date ourselves with the astronomy-engine ephemeris and the tropical zodiac, the one used in Western astrology. All times are US Eastern time (EST in winter, EDT in summer), to the minute. We compared the results with published 2027 tables: sign changes agree within 1 minute, planet stations within 10 minutes, and the very slow turns of Neptune and Pluto within 40 minutes, because for them the exact hour is blurred everywhere.
Houses are counted from the sign of your Sun. Your sign is the 1st house, the next sign is the 2nd, and so on around the wheel, one whole sign per house. This is the method most sun-sign horoscopes use, and it lets one table work for everyone born under a sign. If you know your rising sign, count from that sign instead. A horoscope by ascendant gives different houses for the same event, and the rising sign calculator finds yours.
We do not write daily or weekly forecasts. We calculate the events of the year, give each one a date and a house, and write one reading per sign for the year. Each sign page also checks your exact Sun degree against the slow planets, so two people born under the same sign can see why 2027 reads differently for them.
Questions about 2027 in astrology
Will 2027 be a good year in astrology?
Astrology does not grade a year as good or bad for everyone. The main events are Saturn and Neptune in Aries all year, Jupiter moving from Leo to Virgo on July 26, the total solar eclipse in Leo on August 2, three Mercury retrogrades and a Mars retrograde from January 10 to April 1. Whether they help you depends on the house they fall in for your sign, and the table on this page shows that house for each sign.
Which signs are lucky in 2027?
We do not rank signs. In the tradition Jupiter is the planet of luck and expansion, so the signs usually named are the ones it visits: Leo until July 26 and Virgo from July 26. The signs it makes easy angles to from there count too. While Jupiter is in Leo, the other fire signs, Aries and Sagittarius, get a trine. While it is in Virgo, the other earth signs, Taurus and Capricorn, get one. These picks come from the tradition and are not a forecast.
When is Mercury retrograde in 2027?
Mercury is retrograde from February 9 to March 3, from June 10 to July 4 and from October 7 to 28 (US Eastern time). Venus is not retrograde at any point in 2027.
When are the eclipses in 2027?
February 6 (annular solar, Aquarius), February 20 (penumbral lunar, Virgo), July 18 (penumbral lunar, Capricorn), August 2 (total solar, Leo) and August 17 (penumbral lunar, Aquarius). Exact times are in the table on this page.
Why do some sites say Saturn enters Aries in June 2027?
Those sites use the sidereal zodiac, which Vedic astrology measures against the stars and which sits about 24° behind the tropical zodiac. We use the tropical zodiac, where Saturn has been in Aries since February 14, 2026 and stays there until April 13, 2028.
Is there a daily horoscope for 2027 here?
No. We calculate the events of the year and write one reading per sign. The sky table at the top of the page shows today's planet positions and the next events, updated in your browser.
