Our Astrology Research

The numbers on this site come from our own counts. We ran every date from January 1, 1930 to December 31, 2025 (35,064 dates) through the same calculation as the calculators, and for some questions every moment of the day in five US cities. Below is each count, what it measured and how big it was, with the raw tables to download.

How we count

Planet positions come from astronomy-engine, an open-source ephemeris library, in the tropical zodiac. Counts over dates take one moment per date, at noon UTC or at a fixed point of the local day; counts that need the rising sign or houses step through the day every few minutes or hours of local clock time in Miami, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle and Anchorage. A share is a share of dates or moments, not of people, since births are not spread evenly over the year. The one count of real people is the US birth data, which is kept separate.

Each page says which sample it uses next to its numbers. The full method, including how we checked the calculation against published charts, is on how we create our readings.
