Megan Fox began acting in 2001 with small television and film roles, including a regular part in the sitcom Hope & Faith. Her film debut came in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004). In 2007 she co-starred as Mikaela Banes in Transformers, her breakout role, and returned for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009). Later that year she starred in Jennifer's Body. Astro-Databank notes that she studies astrology and has discussed it on Ellen and Chelsea.
Hand-copied certificate versus a magazine line
Astro-Databank gives this time its top grade, AA. Frank Clifford quotes the birth certificate as "hand copied from the original document." It reads 12:35 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time on May 16, 1986.
One other time rests on a single line. Craft quotes Nylon magazine, October 2008: "For the record, she is a Taurus with a Leo Rising". Astro-Databank notes that 12:25 p.m. gives mid-Leo rising, and we put the ascendant at 15°44′ Leo for that time, almost twelve hours from the certificate.
Sy Scholfield quotes her in "Mega Megan" by Joanne Brookfield, Sun Herald, September 7, 2014: she has "Mars on my ascendant". Astro-Databank infers Capricorn rising from that, and the certificate gives it. Capricorn rose in Oak Ridge from 11:17 p.m. the evening before until 1:13 a.m., when Aquarius followed.
| Birth time | Where it came from | Rising sign | Moon |

| Point | Sign at birth | In that sign | Before and after |

Rising sign and Moon calculated by us for each time on May 16, 1986, Oak Ridge, Eastern Daylight Time.
Mars half a degree past the ascendant
The ascendant is at 19°22′ Capricorn and Mars at 19°52′ of Capricorn, 0°30′ apart. Mars falls in the 1st house in both house systems, which matches her words. A planet beside the ascendant is said to color how a person first appears, and Mars there is read as direct and assertive.
Mars is also exalted in Capricorn, the sign where it is said to work at its best. Neptune is in Capricorn too, at 5°25′: the 12th house in Placidus, the 1st in Whole Sign.
The rising degree moves fast. The ascendant reaches the degree of Mars at 12:37 a.m., 2 minutes after the recorded time.

Leo Moon in the 7th house, in her words
Astro-Databank records that Fox read her own chart on Chelsea Handler's show Chelsea and said her "Moon is in the 7th house... 7th house is in Cancer". The note adds that this matches the data Clifford collected.
Our chart agrees under Placidus. The 7th house starts at 19°22′ Cancer, and the Moon, at 15°06′ of Leo, lies inside it. Whole Sign houses move the Moon to the 8th. The Moon stayed in Leo all day.
It squares Mercury in Taurus, 1°48′ from exact. A Moon-Mercury square is traditionally read as feeling and thinking pulling in different directions.

Taurus Sun and Mercury, both trine Mars
Her Sun is at 25°02′ of Taurus and Mercury at 16°54′, in the 4th house under Placidus and the 5th under Whole Sign. Mercury trines Mars, 2°58′ from exact, and the Sun trines it more loosely, at 5°10′. Taurus and Capricorn are both earth, which is why the trines form. Earth signs hold four planets in all: Sun, Mercury, Mars and Neptune.
Jupiter in Pisces sextiles Mercury (1°04′) and Mars (1°54′). Sextiles are usually read as links that work with little friction.

Venus in Gemini across from Uranus
Venus is at 23°31′ of Gemini, opposite retrograde Uranus at 21°25′ of Sagittarius, 2°07′ from exact. Venus is in the 5th house under Placidus and the 6th under Whole Sign; Uranus is in the 11th and the 12th. Uranus opposite Venus is said to pull taste and the arts toward the unconventional.
