What North Node in Leo means
The sky is working your axis right now, flipped. The North Node moved into Aquarius on August 19, 2026, so the South Node is in Leo and stays there until March 6, 2028. If you were born with a Leo North Node, that puts the passing South Node on your own North Node, and the passing North Node on your South Node.
For a North Node in Leo the ground is heart and play, and the sign is fixed fire with the Sun as its ruler. The Aquarius South Node favors fairness and keeping out of the spotlight, and praise can feel a little embarrassing. The node pulls toward a personal project, or a relationship in which you're someone's best part of the day. Coaching a team or telling a bedtime story counts as the same skill: playing wholeheartedly in front of other people.
The Aquarius habit is strongest in a group. You run the volunteer schedule and make sure every view gets into the minutes except your own. It's generous work that keeps you hard to credit. The node asks you to stay generous while your name gets attached.
The first time you show something under your own name, it gets two likes and an old voice calls it vain. You keep going anyway, until the work has an audience that knows who made it. A friend asks what you've been working on, and you answer with the title.
The stay from April 29, 2017 to November 15, 2018 was the first node return for anyone born between September 17, 1998 and April 5, 2000, at about 18 or 19, and the second for anyone born between February 6, 1980 and August 24, 1981, at about 37. The node runs backward, so Virgo came before that stay and Cancer followed it.
North Node in Leo in love
Sooner or later a partner says, "I never know what you actually want," and for this node that sentence is the job description. Warmth with a face on it means planned romance and a toast at the wedding in your own words. Say what you'd like for your birthday before the day arrives. Choose someone who delights in you and allow yourself to delight back. Introduce a partner to a stranger as the person you're proud to be with. The cool, friendly distance of the South Node can look like patience and feel like longing, so watch for years spent waiting to be asked. At a dinner, when someone asks about the dish, the Leo answer is "I made this," and not "oh, it was nothing." A love letter with your name at the bottom is the same move.
Your South Node in Aquarius: what to grow out of
"It was a team effort" is the stock line of the Aquarius side. It can make a committee run on kindness, and it has taught you to treat your wish for credit as a character flaw. Behind it sit the idea left in a notes file and the joke you never told at dinner.
Men and women with this placement
North Node in Leo man
At his friend's fortieth someone hands him the microphone, and this time he takes it and talks for two minutes without reading from his phone. Later a guest asks who built the bookshelves. He says "I did" and tells the story of the warped board.
North Node in Leo woman
Her name goes on the report she wrote, first in the list, where it used to sit fourth. When a client praises the design she says thank you and stops there. The urge to add "but the team did most of it" passes in a second or two.

How to work with it: purpose and career
Pick one project that carries your name and ship it, however small, like a short performance or a stall at the market. Take the role where the decision belongs to you and the credit is visible. Teaching and performing both put you in front of people while you work, which is the whole exercise. Set the date for the first showing before the work feels finished. Ask one person you trust to read the draft, then show it to someone who doesn't know you. If the first reaction is polite silence, show it again anyway.
Your North Node and your Sun sign
Feeling the direction comes easily to a Leo Sun, which has humility to practice. An Aquarius Sun sits on its own South Node and grows by stepping forward. Aries and Sagittarius Suns find the fire natural. Taurus and Capricorn Suns prefer to work in the background and can take the node as permission to put a finished piece in front of people. Scorpio and Pisces Suns guard their feelings and can let one show on purpose.

North Node in Leo compatibility
Two kinds of contact matter most. A Sun or Venus in Leo falls on your North Node and feels like an audience that wants you. Aquarius placements reach your South Node and feel friendly and easy, if a little cool. Venus in Leo likes open courtship, and this node is learning to offer it. Each of you may see the other's blind spot first, so tell the truth about it kindly.

Questions people ask
What sits opposite a Leo North Node, and what do I keep from it?
Aquarius, always. Your group skills stay with you, including the fairness and the knack for making a committee kind. You add a personal voice and let a name show up on the credits.
Is a Leo North Node the same as being a Leo?
No. The node follows its own cycle, and people with a Leo North Node have every Sun sign.
When were people born with a North Node in Leo?
November 1942 to June 1944, June 1961 to January 1963, February 1980 to August 1981, September 1998 to April 2000 and April 2017 to November 2018.
What lesson comes with the Leo node?
Warmth and being seen. Aquarius, on the opposite side, is where you're at home in groups and at a distance.
When does the node come back to Leo?
On December 9, 2035. A stay lasts a little over 18 months, and the previous one ended on November 15, 2018.
How does the 5th house change a North Node in Leo?
The 5th, home of romance and play, is where Leo belongs by nature, so a node there asks you to take pleasure seriously while the old group habits sit in the 11th. Whether yours is there depends on a chart cast for your birth time and place. A node in the 10th points to leadership with your name on it instead.
Mean node versus true node: what changes in my chart?
Very little, unless you were born close to a sign change. We use the mean node, the average path; the true node jitters about 1.5 degrees either side of it, which can shift a sign change by a few weeks.
