What North Node in Aquarius means
The node slid backward from Pisces into Aquarius on August 19, 2026, and it drops into Capricorn after March 6, 2028. Children born in between will be the next group with this placement. The previous group, born January 7, 2008 to July 26, 2009, is meeting its first node return in these very months, at about 18 or 19, with Aquarius on the node again.
A Leo South Node can light up a party, and the person has learned that people like them for it. The North Node in Aquarius asks a harder question: what do you do when nobody is looking at you? You join the team, you carry out a plan that isn't yours, and you find out how good it feels to be one of the people who made something happen.
In practice the change shows up in small credits. You send the meeting notes to everyone instead of keeping the version only you understand, and you say "we" about a project you mostly built. You also start to see which friendships run on admiration and which run on a shared project, and you spend more evenings on the second kind.
Groups and the far-off future belong to Aquarius, the fixed air sign. Its pull is a taste for volunteer schedules and for friendships that don't hang on romance, and for the moment at the end of a project when the thanks go around the table and land on someone else.
Nothing orbits at a node. It's a spot where the Moon's tilted orbit cuts the ecliptic, the Sun's yearly track, with the South Node as the matching spot on the far side, which is why Leo faces every Aquarius exactly. Both spots creep backward through the zodiac, so after Aquarius the node goes to Capricorn, and it reaches Pisces again only after a full 18.6-year circle.
North Node in Aquarius in love
Friendship sits in the middle of romance with this node. The partner worth looking for is someone you'd also pick for a team, with their own people and projects and no alarm about yours. Leo's habit in love is the grand gesture before an audience of two. Aquarius trades it for something harder to stage, like standing at the edge of a stranger's party while your partner holds the floor, and enjoying it. Drama is the old pull, so expect to miss it. One test is how you react when your partner is thanked in public and you aren't. Another is whether you can disagree with their friends without it turning into a contest over whom they love more.
Your South Node in Leo: what to grow out of
Somebody else is thanked by name at the end of the meeting, and your smile takes a little effort. That effort is the Leo side of the axis. It gave you the warmth that makes an ordinary evening feel like an occasion, and it also taught you to hold an idea back until you can present it yourself and to hear a joke at your expense as the start of a quarrel. You catch it in small places: a pause before you say "we," or a glance around the table when a compliment meant for the group lands on you.
Men and women with this placement
North Node in Aquarius man
He joins the neighborhood association expecting to run it within a year, and ends up keeping the minutes instead. The park cleanup he organized gets written up in the local paper under the chair's name. He reads it twice, shrugs, and signs up for the spring one.
North Node in Aquarius woman
She spends a year building the campaign's volunteer list and lets the founder give the speech at the launch. From the back of the hall she counts the people she personally recruited. Forty-one, and none of them know her name, which bothers her less than she expected.

How to work with it: purpose and career
Pick one group with a clear mission and attend for a full year before you decide whether it suits you, because the reward in this sign comes in the dull weeks and not at the launch. Teach a skill online where strangers can use it. Science and community organizing both fit, since the result belongs to many people at once. Watch how you take feedback in a group. The Leo reading is a verdict on you, and the Aquarius reading is information about the project. Practice the second on something small, like a typo someone catches in your slides.
Your North Node and your Sun sign
The Suns at the two ends of the axis feel this most. A Leo Sun stands on the South Node, and the hard part is splitting the credit. An Aquarius Sun already agrees with the node, so its job is warmth, since the sign can sound like a memo. Gemini and Libra Suns find group life easy. Cancer and Pisces Suns join slowly and then stay for years, while an Aries or Sagittarius Sun has to learn that the team's win can beat the solo run.
When the North Node was in Aquarius: dates
The node was in Aquarius six times since 1930: July 26, 1933 to February 11, 1935, March 6, 1952 to September 23, 1953, October 17, 1970 to May 4, 1972, May 28, 1989 to December 15, 1990, January 7, 2008 to July 26, 2009, and the current stay, August 19, 2026 to March 6, 2028. The share of birth dates, 8.08%, matches five other signs exactly. Whole decades differ more: 15.5% of the 1950s sit in an Aquarius window, against only 6% of the 1980s.
Eclipses happen when a new or full moon falls near the nodes. Dates, signs and where each one is visible: eclipses 2026–2027.

North Node in Aquarius compatibility
A Sun or Moon in Aquarius in the other chart lands on your North Node and tends to cheer the wider circle without needing you in every photo. Leo contacts reach the South Node and feel warm and familiar at once, which is lovely and also the easiest road back to performing. If your partner's North Node is in Leo, they're heading toward the spotlight you're leaving, and the two of you can trade the roles of friend and star. A friendship that turned into a partnership gives all of this a good start. Strong node contacts can make a bond feel significant early, so ask what the two of you actually do together.

Questions people ask
Where is the North Node right now, and for how long?
In Aquarius since August 19, 2026, by our noon UTC count, with the South Node in Leo. It stays until March 6, 2028, and Capricorn takes over the next day. One pass takes 567 days, and our table, which stops at 2035, lists no later stay in Aquarius.
What are the North Node in Aquarius birth dates?
July 1933 to February 1935, March 1952 to September 1953, October 1970 to May 1972, May 1989 to December 1990, January 2008 to July 2009, and the stay running now, August 19, 2026 to March 6, 2028.
What is a North Node in Aquarius asking for?
Shared ownership. The point moves you toward projects and causes bigger than your own name, where the credit is split and you are fine with that.
What is the South Node here, and what is worth keeping from it?
Leo, always. Keep the warmth and the flair for making people feel special. Give up only the need to be the one who gets thanked.
Does this node turn me into a joiner?
It points that way, but one group where you show up for a year beats five you drop into. Pick the one whose mission you could explain to a stranger in a sentence.
Is a birth date enough to name my node sign?
Yes, almost always. The calculator works from the date; a birth time helps only if you were born on the day the node changed signs.
In which house does the Aquarius node sit?
A birth time and place settle it. In the 7th, the lesson narrows to equality with one person. In the 11th, the house of friends and hopes that Aquarius holds by nature, growth runs through your network, and the South Node sits in the 5th, romance and creative display.
Will another site show me the same node sign?
Usually. Ours is the mean node, which glides at an even pace; the true node swings up to about 1.5 degrees to either side, so a birthday a few weeks from a sign change can show the neighboring sign elsewhere.
